Rules & Regulations
1. Admission:
- Confirmation of Admission is subject to permission by AYUSH, New Delhi. If Permission is not received the admission will stands cancelled and amount received will be refunded in two installments by cheque only.
- The students admitted to the institution are expected to abide by the rules and regulations of the college, University and other social body connected with the activities of the institution.
2. Attendance:
- The student must be regular & punctual at the stated house for theory classes and also for hospital duties.
- As per the university regulation 85% attendance is compulsory, failing which, the concerned candidate will not be permitted to attend the university examinations.
- A provision of condonation of 10% of the attendance by the Vice-Chancellor on the specific recommendation of the Principal of the college where the student is studying, showing reasonable cause such as medical grounds, participation in University level sports, cultural activities, seminars, workshops, paper presentation, etc.
- The students shall be informed about their attendance status periodically by the college so that the students shall be cautioned to make up the shortage. The Principal of the affiliated college shall submit the list of students who have been detained for shortage of attendance by the end of the year to the Registrar (Evaluation) with a copy to the Registrar.
- Provided that mere omission by the college to inform the student about the shortage of attendance shall not entitle him / her to appear from examination.
- A student having shortage of attendance in one or more subjects have to make up the attendance and attend subsequent supplementary exams.
- Student who disturbs the classes in any manner or does not maintain a discipline may be expelled from the classes and will face disciplinary actions.
- Student will be punished if he appear late to the class.
- Students are to obtain leave letter format from the office during office visiting hours.
- No student will be issued leave without prior permission. Student should take Signature of all lecturers and Principal on prescribed leave format only. Signed leave letter should be submitted to office during office visiting hours before taking leave.
- Other formats, letters apart from prescribed leave format will not be accepted.
- Unauthorized leave will be penalized 100/Day.
- Continuous absent/ long absent will lead to cancellation of admission.
3. Behaviors & Dress Code:
- Every student is expected to wear a clean, decent dress commensurate with the prestige and reputation of the college.
- Boys are expected to be in full formal pants and clean shirts/ T-shirts with no inappropriate prints, shoes, neatly shaved, Hair brushed, Nails clipped.
- Girls are expected to wear Knee-length Tops, Kurtas, Loose Pyjamas, Formal Shirts, Trousers, Hair neatly tied, Nails Clipped.
- Every student is strictly instructed to wear ID-Card & Apron provided by the institution during his / her stay in the campus. Failing which may lead to penalty of Rs.100/Day. Or sent back to home/ hostel and considered as absent.
- Jeans cloths (Pant / Shirt)/ low waist pants are strictly prohibited.
- Students should avoid wearing, tight, transparent, sleeveless, or revealing cloths and dress appropriately.
- Students are prohibited from organizing any meetings, strikes or entertainment at the college against the integrity of institution.
- Smoking & chewing of Tobacco, alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited.
- Punishment subjected to student will be recorded in student’s personal records.
- Students are expected to behave politely with their classmates, staff members & the management.
- Students are also expected to contribute towards discipline & decorum of the institution.
- Loitering and throwing litter in the campus is strictly prohibited.
- A student must take care of college property and is expected to protect it from getting damaged/ vandalized.
- Cleanliness of the college and the premises is the responsibility of all the students.
- Any misbehavior either inside or outside the college premises will be considered as breach of discipline and will be dealt severely.
- Unauthorized outing/ Tours and get together are strictly prohibited during college hours.
- Each student shall conduct himself/ herself in manner befitting his / her association with the college/ institute.
- He / She should show due respect and courtesy to the teachers, administrators, officers and employees of the institute and maintain cordial relationship with fellow students.
- He / She is expected not to indulge in any activity, which is likely to bring disrepute to the institution.
- In case of any problem, a student is expected to first meet his / her faculty adviser (class coordinator) and then head of the department. If even after meeting those authorities the student is still not able to resolve the problem, he / she can approach the principal/ administrator.
- A student is a flag bearer of the college and is expected to conduct himself / herself in a exemplary manner both inside and outside the campus.
- Violation of code of conduct shall invite disciplinary action which may include punishment such as reprimand, disciplinary probation, fine, debarring from the examination, withdrawal of placement services, with holding of grades or degrees cancellation of registration and even expulsion from the college.
4. Examinations:
- Students should attend all examinations of the college compulsorily. Students remaining absent without any valid reasons will be seriously viewed.
- Next Year classes will commence after 11Th day of completion of each examination.
- Students are to pay half year fee if they fail in any respective year apart from above fee.(I/II/III/IV YEAR)
- Indulging in malpractice in any examination will automatically disqualify the student from the examination and it may result in the student being expelled from the college.
5. Ragging:
- Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited in the college and those who indulge in it will liable for action as per the relevant provisions of the Law.
- Ragging is considered a serious offence. It may lead to his / her expulsion from the college/ hostel.
- Indulging in ragging in any form within the campus or outside the campus or in hostels is strictly prohibited. Indulging in ragging will result in rustication from the college, In addition, as per supreme court directive ragging is a cognizable offence punishable under IPC. A police case will be registered against the student. The college authorities will not take any responsibilities of any student is booked by law-enforcing authorities in case of ragging.
- Indulging in eve-teasing / sexual harassment within the campus/ outside the campus/ in hostels etc., will result in rustication from the college.
6. Use of Mobile/ Smart phones / Tablets:
- Mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the Campus.
- 100/- Penalty will be collected if anyone gets caught using/ bringing mobiles/ Smart phones /Tablets in the campus for the first time.
- 500/- Penalty will be collected for second time breach of Rule No.6.a.
- Mobile will be seized for third time breach of Rule No.6.a and will never be returned.
7. Library and Information Centre:
New Registration:
Registration in the library is compulsory in order to avail the library services. Fill in all the fields provided in the Registration form. Meet the librarian with a latest passport size color photo with white background, writing your name, branch, roll number (Attendance Register), mobile number on the back of the photo and submit the same to the librarian.
Borrower Privileges:
8. Internship:
- The student shall undergo an internship for 365 days i.e. starting from next day of obtaining provisional degree certificate after passing successfully fourth year B.A.M.S.
- The student shall be posted in various departments of the hospital during the internship for a specific period.
- The student should attend all medical camps conducted by the hospital authorities during internship.
- Uninformed leave during internship will lead to extra day duty.
